i can't express how much fun i have been having lately discovering this non-opera classical vocal music.

i have not been a big opera fan. i really have never understood the back and forth dialog which sounds neither like singing nor speech. why weren't those sections simply written as spoken dialog?

anyway, i have really come to appreciate arias, lieder, songs, and whatever other categories non-operatic vocals fall under.

last night i watched a number of elina garaca vids of youtube that blew me away with their power and beauty.
